Skin is that part of our body which is exposed to all kinds of external aggression by sun, environmental pollutants, hot, dry cold or humid air and polluted water. The skin requires special attention to determine its best care. Following are 5 types of skin and 5 points each about how best to take care of each:

1. Dry Skin

Dry skin is very irritating and feels tight, flaky and dry. It can readily loose its tone, develop wrinkles & fine pores and is prone to accelerated aging. Following are the 5 tips to take good care of the dry skin.
1. Excessive cleansing can lead to excessive drying hence dry skin should be cleansed only once a day in the evening. A face wash with water followed by the application of a moisturizer should be enough in the morning.
2. Really hot water dries the skin hence its use over the dry skin should be avoided.
3. Dry skin requires regular exfoliation and facial scrubs made from seeds and salt should be avoided because these can have sharp edges, which can tear dry skin causing increased loss of moisture.
4. The skin should never be rubbed and dried completely. The best way to preserve moisture is to pat dry your skin with a towel after washing and apply the moisturizer to trap extra moisture.
5. Intake of oily fish or essential fatty acids should be increased because their deficiency can lead to excessively dry skin.
Following 5 key products are required for taking care of dry skin.
